On Thursday 17th February 2011, Engadine West P.S. showed it's Australian spirit of kindness and generosity by raising much needed funds for the Queensland schools that were affected by the recent devastating floods and cyclone. To raise money all 735 children dressed in mufti clothes wearing something maroon. Children donated cakes that were sold on the day and stationary items that were individually packaged for the Queensland schools, also many families generously made cash donations. In all, $2820 was raised. Many thanks to all the children, staff and families for helping make a difference for other less fortunate children in Australia.
