Our school responded to the poor air quality on Monday by allowing students, especially those who are asthmatic or medical emergency plans, to spend recess and lunch indoors. We also follow a similar procedure to when the weather is too hot, cold or windy.
Our school has a Bushfire Emergency Plan. We evacuate under direction and advice from NSW Emergency Services to Anzac Oval. We regularily rehearse evacuation and sheltering drills with students, staff and visitors and we are very confident that all Engadine West school community members will be kept safe in this difficult season.
